Pls share with us the lake's GPS coordinates. I want to go there, if i can.. :) Great shot! Need to fine tune PP, or maybe raw is better(I personally don't do PP) Great effort though!

@ishm: Thanks for your comment. I'm glad to know my photo inspired someone to go to this beautiful lake. It's in Arunachal Pradesh, in India near a town called Tawang (also the home of the largest Buddhist monastery outside Lhasa). The lake was created in the 1950's after a major earthquake. It's truly spectacular and my photo doesn't do it justice.

I think I understand what you are trying to accomplish, but the dodging and burning are causing color, temperature, and value shifts. What editing software are you using? best...jerry

@ordinaryimages: This was actually my first attempt using luminosity masks. I'm using Gimp which doesn't actually have a luminosity blend mode so I thought I could substitute it with the Value Blend.... clearly that hasn't worked as well as I had hoped. Or maybe I need to just keep practicing and fine tune this technique. Anyway thanks for your feedback.

Maybe you miss a foreground. Or you don't like the mis equilibration between sky and mountain;

@Nicolas: You're probably right; it would look better with more of a foreground and the sky around the mountain and the tree line is what's bothering me the most about this photo. Thank you for your feedback.
