Butter Lamps

This, and the previous photo, is in the Tawang Monastry in Arunchal Pradesh. It's the biggest Buddhist monastery outside Lhasa. When I visited it the Dalia Lama was about to come for a visit so all the monks were busy cleaning. These butter lamps were being cleaned and polished by a young novice monk.
