Rhinoceros and MynaPosted by khadi (New Delhi, India) on 9 August 2009 in Animal & Insect. This rhinoceros is about 2 meters tall and 4 meters wide. It weighs about 2000 kg. It's an Indian rhino which means that it has only one horn and wrinkly gray skin. Indian Rhino's are almost extinct with only 2500 of them alive in the wild and most live in Kaziranga wildlife sanctuary, where I took this photo. Most rhinoceros have bright red hair on their ears and tails. The bird on top of the rhinoceros is the myna. It feeds on insects that are found on the folds of the rhino's skin.
